The Nigerian Dwarf Goat has a history as colourful as its coat! Originally hailing from West Africa, these little goats first arrived in the U.S. with a rather grim purpose—they were intended as food for zoo predators. But, lucky for them (and us!), their charm won over their captors, and soon these pint-sized beauties became zoo attractions in their own right.
From there, the breed split into two: the sturdy Pygmy, used mainly for meat, and the more graceful Nigerian Dwarf, beloved for its high-quality milk. Standing no more than 24 inches tall, these mini goats pack a mighty dairy punch, producing rich, creamy milk with a butterfat content perfect for cheese making and much more.
But it’s not all about milk! Nigerian Dwarf goats are also playful, affectionate, and thrive in various climates, making them fantastic companions for families, children, and even the young at heart. With their gentle disposition and easy care, it’s no surprise they’ve gone from zoo sideshows to the stars of dairy farms and homesteads all over the world. Whether you're after top-tier milk or a fun farm friend, these little goats have got it all!

Why shouldn’t you consider Nigerian Dwarf Goats for your farmstead?! These little guys are the Swiss Army knife of farm animals. Need top-notch milk for cheese making? They’ve got you covered with rich, creamy milk that’s small in quantity but huge in quality! Looking for playful, pint-sized companions? They’re as friendly as they are adorable. And with their small stature, they’re perfect for farms of all sizes—no sprawling pastures needed! Plus, they’re pros at fitting in anywhere, thriving in various climates. Basically, if you’re looking to add charm, quality milk, and a bit of fun to your farmstead, these mini milk machines are the goat to go for! 🐐✨

Well, we love all our little Nigerian Dwarf Goats, no matter their genetic pedigree percentage—they're all part of the family! But when it comes to breeding, we do take genetics into consideration to ensure healthy, happy kids. Over time, we aim for a purebred Nigerian Dwarf lineage, but hey, it’s a process! We even ask the does who they'd like to... um, “hang out” with, to make sure everyone's on the same page. 😉 If you're just starting out, you can guide your herd toward that purebred goal too. It’s a journey of love, good genetics, and, of course, a bit of matchmaking magic! 🐐💫

Well, we ask our goats first, of course! Not all of them are into the whole “being judged” thing. Imagine you're a buck, and there’s an audience inspecting your... um, assets. Then the judges comment, “Hmm, a bit wonky, could be bigger.” Ouch, right?! Not every goat wants to go through that kind of critique! It takes a thick coat and a true stud attitude to strut confidently at these events. So, only the boldest of our bunch make it to the show ring—no pressure if they'd rather just chill in the paddock! 😎🐐

Well, it’s not as simple as that! First, we have to check in with the mama doe—she decides if she's ready for her kids to head out on an adventure. Some of our goats are real explorers, born to lead their own herd on new paddocks, while others are happy to stick around and rule the roost here. It all depends on their personalities!
And no, we don't just sell our goats to anyone! There’s a whole process, and you can find out all the details by clicking the "Register Interest" button. We’ve learned a lot along the way, and we’re more than happy to share our lessons so these little legends can thrive in their new homes. Honestly, we’re not really selling goats—what we’re passing on is knowledge, guidance, and a few farmstead gadgets to make life flow smoothly. The goats? They’re priceless to us. So they only go to the right family, where they’ll be cherished and loved as they start their own herd! 🐐❤️

Ah, the great "wether" debate! 🐐 A wether, if you didn’t know, is a desexed male goat—and yes, they can be quite the handy addition to your herd. Think of him as the doe’s wingman. He’ll let you know when a doe’s on heat (yep, he’s still got those instincts!) and helps keep things peaceful. Plus, he’s like a chill, protective big brother for the ladies.
Now, don't expect him to bro out with the bucks. Poor guy sometimes gets confused about his role when the big boys are around—they might treat him like a doe, and that can lead to an identity crisis! But overall, wethers have a gentle, laid-back vibe that makes them fantastic companions for your herd. Just think of him as your herd’s easy-going, drama-free dude!
