Reggie is a certified cuddle enthusiast who thinks hanging out with his favourite humans is the greatest thing ever. He’s got a soft spot for the lovely lady goats (the does, of course) and trails behind us like the most loyal of pups. Just like his celestial namesake, Regulus—the brightest star in the Leo constellation and a gem of the night sky—our Reggie is a superstar in his own right, lighting up the farm with his playful spirit and endless affection. 🌟🐐

    Say hello to Arcturus, better known as Archie—the dashing buck goat with a heart of gold and a protective streak a mile wide! Archie takes his role as the herd’s guardian very seriously, keeping a watchful eye on his crew like the ultimate four-legged bodyguard. Just like his stellar namesake, Arcturus—the shining star of the Boötes constellation often depicted as a herdsman—our Archie truly lives up to the legend. He’s the guardian goat who keeps the herd safe and snug, all while shining as bright as the star he’s named after. 🌟🐐

    Meet Leo, our laid-back wether with a celestial twist! 🐐✨ Like his zodiac namesake, Leo is a guiding presence in the herd, keeping things peaceful and letting us know when the ladies are on heat—he’s basically our goat astrologer!

    Leo might not roar like a lion, but his chill demeanour makes him the ultimate wingman for the does and a calming influence in the paddock. With his gentle vibe and easy-going nature, he transforms the herd’s daily chaos into something harmonious. Just like the constellation Leo signalled the Nile’s life-giving floods, our Leo keeps the good vibes flowing! 🌟

    Meet Capella, the shining star of our herd and the night sky! 🌟 In Greek legend, Capella is Amalthea, the mythical she-goat who nurtured baby Zeus with endless milk and divine strength. She’s famous for always birthing twins, so when our doe “Pella” as we sometimes call her, has kids and if there’s a buck, he’ll be named Zeus—destined for greatness!

    Look to the heavens, and you’ll find Capella sparkling in Auriga, the Charioteer, near a pair of stars called The Kids. A celestial nod to her legendary motherhood! 🐐✨

    Meet Mira, our wonderfully mischievous doe who’s always full of surprises! 🐐✨ True to her name—meaning “astonishing” in Latin—Mira has a talent for sneaking out and reappearing in the most unexpected spots. One moment she’s in the paddock; the next, she’s peeking from the tool shed or nibbling flowers you thought were safe.

    Meet Cassia, our regal beauty queen and true Lady of the Chair! 👑🐐 Like her celestial namesake Cassiopeia, she rules with grace, perched proudly on her "throne"—the milking stand. In return for her divine milk, Cassia enjoys the royal treatment she so clearly deserves.

    Her star quality shines brightest through her two gorgeous daughters, who’ve inherited their mother’s elegance. Whether lounging in the paddock or strutting for milking time, Cassia exudes timeless charm and a dash of goat sass. Truly, she’s the queen of Auriga Life! 🌟🐐

    Meet Saffron, our cosmic outlier with a name that’s more spice than starlight! 🐐✨ While her name doesn’t quite align with the celestial vibe of our herd, we’re convinced the universe has plans for her. Surely, somewhere in the cosmos, there’s a yet-to-be-discovered star just waiting to be named Saffron.

    Until then, this golden girl shines bright enough to rival any star, bringing warmth, zest, and a little mystery to the paddock. Maybe she’s not named after a star (yet), but with her vibrant personality, she’s truly out of this world! 🌟

    Her snowy coat and sapphire gaze make her as mesmerizing as a blue giant star, and while she’s more gentle guardian than fierce warrior, Bella’s presence is undeniably cosmic. But, lucky for them (and us!), their charm won over their captors, and soon these pint-sized beauties became zoo attractions in their own right.

    From there, the breed split into two: the sturdy Pygmy, used mainly for meat, and the more graceful Nigerian Dwarf, beloved for its high-quality milk. Standing no more than 24 inches tall, these mini goats pack a mighty dairy punch, producing rich, creamy milk with a butterfat content perfect for cheese making and much more.

We even ask the does who they'd like to... um, “hang out” with, to make sure everyone's on the same page. 😉 If you're just starting out, you can guide your herd toward that purebred goal too.   • Well, we ask our goats first, of course! Not all of them are into the whole “being judged” thing. Imagine you're a buck, and there’s an audience inspecting your... um, assets. Then the judges comment, “Hmm, a bit wonky, could be bigger.” Ouch, right?! Not every goat wants to go through that kind of critique! It takes a thick coat and a true stud attitude to strut confidently at these events. So, only the boldest of our bunch make it to the show ring—no pressure if they'd rather just chill in the paddock! 😎🐐

  • Well, it’s not as simple as that! First, we have to check in with the mama doe—she decides if she's ready for her kids to head out on an adventure. Some of our goats are real explorers, born to lead their own herd on new paddocks, while others are happy to stick around and rule the roost here. It all depends on their personalities!
